What is Spirituality all about?
“Nothing is by chance. There is a perfect pattern and plan running through the whole of life you are part of that wholeness and therefore part of that perfect pattern & plan. When you see strange things happening in your life and wonder why they should happen to you, take time to see how it all fits in, and you will see a reason for everything. The reason may not be always what you expected, but nevertheless be willing to accept them and to learn by them, and do not fight against them. Life should be effortless. A flower does not struggle to unfold in the rays of the sun, so why should you struggle to unfold in the rays of my limitless love? If you do, it’s your own doing, and it is not part of my perfect pattern and plan. Simplicity is my hallmark, so keep life simple. Keep in constant contact with me and watch yourself unfold in my love.” — Eileen Caddy (A great spiritual teacher and author)
I think that Eileen captures the essence of truth which is Spirituality woven within these words.
What is spirituality anyway?
I have thought long and hard over this question, and have come up with a few conclusions, which I still question as I think to be truly spiritual you have to keep asking the questions as we all create our own realities, but we must always have faith that what is meant to be will be, no matter what the circumstances, We are part of the puzzle and it all fits at the end of the day, although, I do think that there are many paths and detours in this life to our destiny, but I think that all of them eventually lead us to where we are supposed to be in our continuous development.
I believe that it is only our physical bodies that die and that our spirit lives on and may choose to re-incarnate to learn even more life lessons time and time again, as you may know I am a hypnotherapist and have participated in many past life regressions sessions, and ran many workshops on the subject, which only helps to reinforce my belief .
I have witnessed many lives with many clients describing in great detail the adventures they have had, I have even researched some of the information that they share with me and the details have been confirmed.
So I think we are all on a journey of development, whether we are aware of it or not. A part of me thinks that when we can understand the Ego and accept that it has a role, but it is not the role of the enemy, then we can utilize the lessons that the Ego gives us, in a more spiritual way and become more than what we think we are right now, because you are always more than that. We will discover the true meaning of being, and that is, what our spiritual path is all about.
Your physical body is such a tiny part of who you really are. The energy around you and within is the part of you that never dies and records every moment in time in each life time. So we have an abundance of knowledge, wisdom and experiences to assist us on our journey we just need to learn how to still our conscious mind and tap into our unconscious mind which is the doorway to a limitless amount of knowledge.
So if you ask me what is Spirituality?
It boils down to this…spirituality emphasizes humanistic qualities such as love, compassion, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, contentment, responsibility, harmony, and a concern for others, aspects of life and human experience which go beyond a purely materialist view of the world, without necessarily accepting belief in a supernatural reality or divine being.
Spirituality touches that part of you that is not dependent on material things or physical comforts.
Being true to our self and others and trusting in, “what will be, will be.” All pathways lead you back to the pure love that you and I were created from, the pure energy that all of life was moulded. We are children of the universe, our energy spans more than our eyes can see, our physical mind and body cannot comprehend how powerful we actually are, and how insignificant all of the daily worries we put upon ourselves really are, but to connect with our spiritual side is our passport to truth. What is spirituality? It usually takes us a life time to understand fully. Spirituality is the lesson that never ends .
